Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Landmark Properties was founded in 1976 by Bonnie Mitchell and her business partner Don Hedrick as Hedrick-Mitchell Real Estate. In 1990, they became affiliated with The Prudential franchise. In 1998, Bonnie partnered with Shook & Tarlton, forming Prudential Hickory Metro Real Estate before becoming Berkshire HathawVay HomeServices Hickory Metro Real Estate in 2014. Laura Bowman-Messick acquired the company in August 2020 and in November 2021 changed the company name to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Landmark Properties to better serve clients and sales associates and to further expand their service areas.

We will never enter into a client relationship where we know what is expected of us cannot be done in good faith. We will never enter into an agreement with a seller who is unrealistic in regards to the proper pricing. When hired to sell a client’s home, we will always make recommendations that can assist their home’s value or help reduce its marketing time even if it means telling them things that they do not want to hear. We acknowledge that we may periodically lose business because we are truthful with our clients and our competitors; we will never tell them what they want to hear to temporarily get their business. We will always remember that to have a winning relationship for our clients, we must always have a mutual goal.
